what does a casting number 1737629 indicate. it is on the lower left front of the block? have forgotten where the engine code stamping is-around the distributor ? trying to find out if this savoy i have has a 361 golden commandod in it . doesnt have the right carburator on it so i am wondering. thanks, pat

Hi Pat - The 361 cubic inch engine has the distributor on right front corner of the engine, the 318 has the distributor behind the carburetor next to the firewall. Generally the engine no is on the driver side front of the engine.
