Flathead six tail pipe

Post by CharlesE »

H all,

I need to replace the tailpipe on a flathead 6. It is the piece that connects directly to the manifold.

I found on e on eBay but I am not sure it is truely the piece I need. Is there a way to find out before I buy it?

Here is the eBay link.

Thanks much,

Charles

THe Maremount part # in the ad means nothing to me. The Mopar Part # is 1675 698. The headpipe is 15" long. The part is same for Dodge 6 cylinder.
Try quizzing the seller...how does he know it is for Ply, Dod 6 cyl? Then youmay just have to trust him.

Good ideas. And thanks much for the part number. I have a catalog of part numbers in route. Where did you get your part numbers from?

Thanks again,

Years ago I bought a 1959 Mopar Passenger Parts Book at a swap Meet. I use it to help out Listmembers!

Looking at the pic, it looks correct to me, being that my car is a flat six, this thread is confusing tho as the writer has the title as "flathead six tail pipe" which is reality its the "headpipe" or "exhaust" pipe that he wants...
