Bronze SF in Montana

not mine, just sharing. I have seen this SF listed before on Facebook, car located in northern Montana. Looks like a super easy resto! Its a manual trans w/ OD. Might be a really fun car to own! Price has come down since its first Facebook listing. I have seen more pictures of this car on line and other than a few rust bubbles looks really good. Current listing price 12k.

More pictures, not sure about the wheels. Look like black rims maybe? That bronze is a gooooood looking color, gotta love that two tone. What color were rims originally from factory? Body color or Argent? Was there a difference between cars getting full wheel covers and cars getting the dog dish caps?

(*sigh*)... From the factory, the wheels were argent, Will. I think bronze would be a nice contrast with the whitewalls, but apparently, that's akin to putting mudflaps and curb feelers on. I hope I'm allowed to put a hula girl on the package shelf.

I have a nearly NOS mix match set of a Yosemite Sam and a naked lady silhouette mud flaps I am planning on putting on my Sport Fury

I detect a little flack you have possibly caught over the idea of body color rims? I think I can hear Dick yelling ARGENT already!!! With the full wheel covers that little bit of color showing does give good contrast but argent looks great too. Factory correct or not both look good. For base model Savoy's with the dog dish caps that show more rim I think body color wheels look really good IMO. I really like the temp color contrast on John Q's Belvedere's wheels.

Ya know you cant call it a classic till you have a hula girl on the dash and fuzzy dice hanging up. Its like with race cars, stickers add horsepower and for old cars Hula girls and fuzzy dice are what make them classics ohh and don't forget cheep flame paint jobs make a car a hot rod. Every one knows that....

I was doing some googling and there is alot that comes up from the original owner. I'm not good at posting links but it belong to Virgil and Alpha Mooney. He was A police chief in Havre Montanna. Was alot of trial transcripts from the 1950's etc. news articles. I thought all Sport Fury's came standard with the bigger engine and automatic ? This car is very very cool !!!!!!!!!! If I had more room at the INN I would be grabbing this one up. Experts across the pond, your phone is ringing,do you have any info on this car? Again very very cool. Mark

Mark, good detective work on the original owners info! interesting, The best part of these cars are the stories that come with them and I bet this car has some stories to tell. Agreed on the cool factor on this car, not often you see a SF with the manual trans. I bet this thing is a blast to drive. Wonder if he special ordered this with these options?

Looks really clean and complete for the price, even the trunk has what looks like the original jack and card board trim in place.

Wonder if his Police force drove Plymouth's patrol units?? I would like to think so....
