Seattle Sunbust - Seattle WA, August 24, 2008

Post by rogerh »

Hi Folks,
Webmaster Dan and wife Marie have been here in the Seattle area visiting friends, and today they met me at a car show south of Seattle. I had pre-registered my car into the Fin Cars Stock category. When
I arrived, the traffic directors coaxed me to park with the Classic Convertibles. I parked next to a 1961 Plymouth Fury convertible, un-restored but pretty nice..
Dan and Marie took in the sights, then took us to lunch. they dropped us back at the show, as they needed to continue on to their next destination.
We (my 11-yr old daughter, my dog and I ) waited thru some light showers, then heavier showers, until the awards were handed out. I was very surprised to lose out to the 1961, assuming he was my only competion. But soon enough I was called up to receive 1st place award for the category I had pre-registered for..FinCars Stock..thus beating out a beautiful Chrysler 300-D, a beautiful Chrysler 300-B and several 56 Dodges
The drive home was not boring. The collected rainwater on the top mostly ran into the car thru the poorly fitting windows, more water dripped on my feet, the wipers were out of synch, and the defoster didnt work. But we had fun!
Photos will have to wait for Dan to post them..I dont know how...
Dan also says the site has been hacked by Viagra..I don't see that...??

Just got back from a great trip to the Northwest, and it was great to see Roger again (and meet Rhianna and Eragon, of course). And what a gorgeous convertible Roger has!

I noticed on my Blackberry -- which shows everything in detail -- that some time ago, every single web page on the site had been hacked to include a YouTube link to a viagra ad. Fortunately, it's hidden and doesn't display; however, if you go to View -> Source and search, you'll find it. Now to clean up all of the webpages...

These @#(@*!@$@(&@@!!! Spammers!!

Hi Dan,
I am sorry you caught the inclement weather. It is kind or unusual, but then all the US has been getting wierd weather.
Eragon the standard poodle was quite tired at the end of the day. So was I .
Rhianna had a good time.

Oops! Fixed those links, Roger. I don't think I ever posted the pic from my camera of you with Rhianna, tho -- if fact, I haven't downloaded them from my camera yet, I've been so preoccupied with fixing my computer and the hacked website! But both are fixed now -- Perhaps I'll get to load them up tonight. Thanks for the reminder...
