My '59 Sport Fury

Post by ChippLake1 »

I got "Sport" running after a year and half of hibernation- just needed a new battery and she fired right up! I hope I can get her ready for the long trip to PA! 8)

That looks amazing! Love the interior.

What happened to your rear bumper guards?

Thanks, Matt! That is one mystery I will never know as it appears this bumper never had them. I thought all '59s- regardless of model- had the rear bumper with bumper guards. At least that's what I thought from going through old literature.

Also, the interior is a spring color- turquoise. I've not seen another sport fury with a turquoise interior, either the blue or green as the closest.

Hey Steve, I'm still up for a 2-Plymouth convoy to Carlisle if you're planning to come through Youngstown. Going there AND returning, as long as our schedules sync. Looks like I-76 is the best route. Pretty sure my Belvy is in good shape for the trip. Planning to take her out on the Turnpike over coming weekends to test her out, now that I have a AAA card in my wallet. Now that's confidence.
