Hello fellow ‘59 ers! I just purchased this sport fury out of Minnesota. Some may recognize it as it was formerly at the Miami Auto Museum. It will require several hard to find bits and pieces but the great news is that it’s solid and has the 361 Golden Commando! Matt K has been helpful already but anyone that could assist in helping locate needed items would be appreciated! I have always loved finned mopars and air cooled VW’s. I have 5 VWs and this is the first forward look car. Exner as most of you know was a major influence in the design of the Karmann Ghia.
I’m looking forward to bringing this baby back to its original beauty. The current upholstery is hideous! I’m doing this car in honor of my father who passed this year. He always had a Chrysler or Plymouth and this would be one he would have been proud to own. My first car was a ‘65 Imperial Crown I purchased as a 16 year old for $200. A great driver that could hold all my drums!
I sing, drum, love VWs and Mopars as well as Mid-mod homes and design. Thanks in advance for any help with this car!

I take it from your email address, the name is Gregory? Assuming you go by Greg - congratulations on your find, Greg, and welcome to the Forum!

Thanks Dan! Yes its Greg. This is a nice forum, albeit a smaller group than the VW community. That should make this cars parts locating and revival even more fulfilling!
