Carlisle 2019!

Yup, you read right. It's two months until Carlisle 2018, but already I'm thinking about the big one in 2019 - the 60th. We've got to beat the bushes and get as many '59 Plymouths and Plodges on the showfield as we can.

If I get enough folks to sign up, perhaps I can get us our own special section with Carlisle Productions. And I'll be talking to the Motel 6 in Mechanicsburg - the official "'59 Plymouth Motel" - about a special discount for us.

Of course, we are going to need commemorative T-Shirts! Yeah, they won't be black this time   It gets hot under the Carlisle sun.

You comin', Johnny? How about you, Dick? Tom Fox? We can always find a young pup to help with the driving.

What else should we be thinking about? Remember, for 2019 - If It's New, Plymouth's Got It!

Dan

If I can ensure my Sport Fury is trust worthy enough to make the 318 mile haul from Ohio, I'm in! "We're looking fine cause we're the class of '59!"

That's a great idea, Gary! I definitely would be coming near Youngstown via I-76!

I am coming for sure in 2019 and I may Kidnap Rick Clapham (Mopar Ricky) for the drive out and back with my Convert in my car trailer. Can't miss the 60th Anniversary event! I plan on doing an repaint in the same Turquoise Spring color this winter to be ready for the show.

looks like a Faber College picture from National Lampoons "Animal House"... I think that is Dick Koch's Convertible?? Needs better rear shocks to hold up better with the Co-eds on board. :o

It's official! 59plymouth.net is a sanctioned club at the 2019 Chrysler Nationals. Check the list here:

If you plan on attending, please register under our club - the registration page is here.

I've already discussed with Dave Stragand, who gets a tent every year that's discounted (or, free) based on the number of cars that register under the Forward Look club. Dave is very supportive, and I've agreed to help underwrite the cost of his tent if our registrations separate from his club have an impact. We don't need a separate tent, but I'm hoping I can parlay a mass registration of '59s under the 59plymouth.net club into dedicated parking spaces near the Forward Look tent.

Also, I've reserved 10 rooms at the Official '59 Plymouth Motel (Motel 6) in Mechanicsburg, which makes for a great videographic opportunity en route to the Fairgrounds. I don't yet have the rates, but let me know if I can hold a room for you.

Carlisle 2019! It's our turn, and it's our year. Be there!

Just sayin', Dick Koch.
