@#%!#!! hackers

Post by Faulkner »

Sorry -- again -- for the hackers who compromised the site, folks. This time, instead of corrupting the database (which I back up every night), they corrupted the program. I don't have a way of automating backups for this, but the service provider does -- and they restored it from their backup.

What I really need to do is update the bulletin board software that makes it more difficult for them to exploit security holes. I have to experiment with it first, though... (*sigh*). If only I could buy time.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Dan,
You are our over-worked leader. I wish I could somehow be of help to the site, but I lack your talents.
Hooray for getting the site back up for us "junkies"
