Oil filter gasket
Rebuilding my 1960 318 poly and was wondering if there is a gasket that is suppose to go under the large oil filter plate that mountes to the block or if it needs some kind of sealer before tightening the plate down with the oil filter nut? OK., well that explains the three strut model then. I have been seeing two strut and three strut , my sport fury has the hole in the dash for the remote, so will get the three strut model then....I like the two strut better, but wanna put the remote one back on the car....I have a round remote one o...

Correct Mirrors
Wanting to purchase correct mirrors for my 59 plymouth sport fury....notice there is a "2 stut" and a "3 strut" variation(s) ...Need to know which one is correct for my '59.

I do have the rods for both systems...so will take a look., I think the power brake one is larger/longer and it's adjustable. If that is the case., I can use my master cyclinder I already bought and then use the rod that I have for the power unit.

Just went out to garage., threw some white lithium greese on the connection, turned the gas tube from the top of the tube and whallah....tank dropped right out.

OK., cool., it looked like just a seal., but wasn't sure...I bought a new tank., so not sure if that seal comes with>,..so will try and take the old one out without messing it up.....will spray some lube on it tonight and let it sit over night and try it tomorrow.

Taking out gas tank
Have a 59 sport fury., have the gas tank mostly out., but can't get the filler neck disconnected from the tank to drop the tank out...is there a clip or something holding the long filler neck into the tank down where it goes into the tank?

318 poly hairline cracks
Just pulled my 318 poly out of my '59 sport fury and noticed a repair already on the center upper water passage on the head mounting surface., and looked at the other side and same thing., two small hairline cracks that have not been repaired yet...so was wondering if this was common on these motors...
