Thanks., will look into it...already dismantled the complete dash to paint it...noticed on the shifter mechanism., the spring for the N button was comressed and stuck., so it wasn't kicking back out..so probably have a few issues.

still have brakes to do (bleed and get correct master cylinder) and figure out why my transmission is in reverse right now when it should be in neutral.

Just got my engine fired up today..and my transmission button was in neutral...but tires are spinning in reverse....so assuming there is an adjustment down on the transmission where shifter cable attaches? 1. The large vacuum line that comes off the air canister and connects to the intake on a 4 bbl intake (318P 4 bble intake)...does it connect to the intake right behind the carberator? I have a large metal pipe sticking out of the intake.

I am talking about the big disk that mounts to the block ...(so between the block and the back of the big metal disk).......is there a gasket that goes behind that big disk before tightening the retaining nut that the oil filter screws on to. I bought a rebuild master gasket set and don't see a gask...
