Re: Are you able to log in?

Dan, Thanks for the info and upgrading the website. The first time I tried to log in I was unable to get access to the Board. I tried again the next day and got in but the fonts were scrambled and overwritten and I could not read what was in the center and right columns .... really weird graphics. Y...

Re: Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

While all my retired Snow Birds friends have all flocked down to the Carolinas and to Florida for the winter, I have managed to hold down the fort here in snowy Connecticut. My 59 Plymouth is all bundled up under a warm car cover in the garage. The Daily Drivers are out in the driveway. Day After Wi...

Re: Who Does Sport Fury Steering Wheel Recast?

Bernie, Good follow up on the steering wheel discussion. Yes I also saw the former Tom Fox's first 59 restoration ... a white Sport Fury for sale on eBay. The auction ended on September 4 and the car did not sell. This was a recent eBay auction for the white hardtop and the ad claimed "This is ...

Who Does Sport Fury Steering Wheel Recast?

Ok... I like the look of the acrylic inlaid steering wheel. Some cars came with the standard wheel and some came with the deluxe wheel. From what I have searched on this forum there are only one or two companies or individuals that can do the recasting of the clear acrylic part of the wheel which is...

Re: What is it?

I would have guessed the song since I am a Classic Oldies DJ .... late to this puzzle thread. I was at our First Tuesday Classic Car cruise tonight ... I played two Roy Orbison songs today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh2ykRvu1sY&feature=youtu.be This was the song that was heard in the GEICO...

Re: Lola and my Boy

Hi, I like your story ... great story on how you found this car in Ledyard Connecticut. I am a local DJ that plays the Oldies at our local Car Shows. I play music at most Car Cruise nights in south eastern Connecticut, the U.S. Navy Base and some Regional Car Shows as well. That hits home for me, Le...

1959 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible

This is not My Car.... just found this 1959 Plymouth on CraigsList. 1959 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible - - $34000 In 1959, the Sport Fury convertible was the top of the line Plymouth and came with a dash-mounted plate inscribed with the name of the buyer. Welcome to this site. I am fairly new here as well. There is a lot of technical information here that can be found using the search engine. Any other details about your car? What options does it have and what motor does it have? There are several Data plate experts here who can help you out plus Mat...

Re: Flathead Six paint color

Good question about the Plymouth L Head engine or Flat Head Six engine paint color. From what I read, the final year these engines were installed in Plymouths was 1959. I looked through all my saved vintage car photos and found these four photos of the Flat Head Six. I do not know if these are origi...

Re: Best Correct Oil Filters

Dan, I thought there must have been a conversion plate put on the engine block. And I did search the topic but did not find the thread on the conversion kit. Thanks for clarifying. So I will contnue to use the spin on filters. I am sure the Mopar community does not think this takes away from origina...
