Re: Congratulations to Mr. Quinn and Mrs. Right!

Is Ron and Marjo's anniversary before my 32nd wedding anniversary with Jo Ann on September 15th?

I really am getting old!

Congratulations Ron and Marjo on your 25th anniversary

Re: MUCH ADO ABOUT A LOT.

I am glad you were spared Dick. We did not fair as well in MD. We were without power for 33 hours (we have only lost power 3-4 times in the last 24 years and the longest was 4 hours). We took our freezer contents 20 miles away to a friend with power. Of cousre the power was restored at our house as ...

[quote="Matthew Keij"]Dick, if you remove the lenses you can see a little lip. That is the lip holding the socket into the housing. Matthew, Only some food and drink? - With all the work Dick has waiting for you - you'd better ask for a 24 buffett or at least room service! Curt Dick what c...

Re: Anybody gone over to LED taillights?

Roger, No I have not changed over - but its not a bad idea. The stop and turn signal lens is very small and hard to see at times. I did not have back up lights (Savoy) so I took out the Clear back up lens and ground down a red lens to put in its place. Now I have three reds lights that act as parkin...

Re: rear axle

That sounds about right. I wonder how far off my "F" body (76 Volare???) rear was from drum to drum and spring perches - not that it really matters - its a done deal and its only the 8 1/4 posi rear! Of course I do have a Road Runner Drive shaft  We had a 106 degree day yesterday and ...

Re: rear axle

John and Ricky, I looked into a C body (1974 I think New Yorker) and the donar car subframe and rear end were too large (wide) to fit under my Savoy - Just what I remember from 16 years ago! :? I had springs made for my car at a local spring shop so I can't answer about the perches being in the same...

Re: rear axle

All true. I used a 76 Volare 8 1/4 posi w3:23 gears. I also used the subframe and 318 and 904 trans w stall converter. I think all this info is in my profile. Good luck, curt
