Thanks for the information. I am sure hoping that the windshield replacement does not involve the headliner. My original hedliner is actually in very good shape, but I am sure it would not stand much futzing around before it would rip to pieces! My rear glass has a small leak and the upholstery shop...

Good News, A windshield shop about 30 miles from my home located a new windshield (they even have blue or green tint). Price installed is estimated at $550. Now let's hope it really fits a two-door post sedan and not a hardtop!!! I found the windshield rubber at Andy Bermbaum's for $99. Can any expe...

Thanks Dan for all you do. I am little late responding but I just spent another 5 days in the hospital (long story - I will explain briefly in my bio). I love the site and it sure appears there are plenty of people that agree with me based on all the positive comments. I have no doubt that the bante...

Hi Stefan, For what it is worth... I used an entire rear end assembly from a 1976 Plymouth Volare that had a 318 V8 motor. It is a 3.23 to 1 Positraction rear with a smaller housing (I believe 8 1/4 inch). The smaller rears are great unless you plan to go racing or have a high horsepower motor. It w...

I just realized that I forgot to post the contact information for these two cars on this post. I had included the name and number under the Valance wanted, and Steering Wheel Wanted posts earlier. So here is the name and number of the man in Illinois parting out two '59 Plymouths. Happy Hunting: I s...

I would agree. I say that $25 for a PAIR of hinges was super cheap and the buyer should have known there was a risk that they would not be perfect. After all its not like you can test them off the car easily! It would seem fair to send him another one and ask for yours back. He should pay the shippi...

Two 1959 Plymouths being parted out - 1 Sport Fury, 1 Savoy

I was just told about two 1959 Plymouths that are being parted out in Bloomington IL. One two door post Savoy and One Sport Fury!!!! Bad for me since the post sedan had a broken windshield - bummer - that is the only part I needed. I sent separate posts to the members looking for a valance and a spo...

I just spoke with a person (Mr Dalinis in Bloomington IL) tonight. He is parting out two 1959 Plymouths and he has at least one valance that can be salvaged. He said $50 or $60 "cause its in pretty decent shape". Don't wait to call him because these will go fast. His number is 815 476-2292...

I just got off the phone with Mr Dalinis in Bloomington Illinois tonight. He posted an ad in a national Plymouth magazine listing two 1959 Plymouths that he is parting out. Good news is that one is a Sports Fury with the steering wheel (all cracked and missing plastic). He says he needs $25 for the ...

1959 Plymouth Savoy two door sedan windshield glass wanted.

Well, I have read all the posts and still no luck locating a windshield for my '59 Two-door post Savoy. I had the car 15 years with many miles driven without a scratch. Two weeks ago my garage door spring completly smashed out the windshield when the garage door cable broke. Fair warning - make sure...

Dan,

What can I say but "Wow - I am jealous"!

The car looks great and it must be a great feeling getting behind the wheel with more power to go and safer brakes to stop!

I love the pictures.

Here is hoping for warmer weather.

Is It Just Me

Hi Everyone I am new to the forum. I always use EBAY to determine the Real market value of any products. Try searching on EBAY using: Plymouth (59, 1959, '59) and check the box on the left side of screen marked completed items. This will show you exactly what has been bid on completed auctions. You ...
