Re: Starter Ring Gear Replacement...INFO

Carefully drive the ring gear off, heat it with a small torch, until really warm and flip it over and reinstall on the fly wheel or torque convertor, as it cools it shrinks back to size. Yes it's that easy

Re: Faulkner gets a Redo

Just an old mechanic trick... I found that sealing the pipe thread into the pot-metal fuel filter top, I paint the brass threaded part with old fashion nail polish and assemble immediately do not over tighten, some strange reason this has worked for me every time. even with todays corn-gas.

Re: Faulkner gets a Redo

Dan,
I am thirsty.. I better bring extra. We have good beer, because we have great water. just not too much of it.
Post script... We also higher muzzle velocities being we have less atmosphere to interfere.

Dan,
Just in case she gets back up... I can bring the .460 Weatherby Magnum . I have only fired her once, kills in one direction and wounds in the other.

Re: Faulkner gets a Redo

Okay, The bracket you thought was for heater hose is, and also uses a sheet metal strap to secure the hose to it. And for the sending unit...I like using ,375" key-stock and finish using the dull end of a .250" punch utilizing all the tightening tabs if I can't find my sending unit tool......

That is the correct Sure Grip unit for 59. Don't forget the friction modifier additive for the gear lube.
