Re: Of VIN plates and data plates
I have a question that ties in with this. I know the LA plant was really just an assembly plant, meaning that the parts were brought in by train in the form of "knock down kits" i.e parts. then assembled. I have a video of this process and it shows them off loading complete engines, rear e...

Re: My Kingdom for Interior Paint Chips (or shell green sample)
I know this is an old post last touched several years ago. I am going through the same process of researching these paint colors since my Jade is going to need all the interior repainted eventually and I am not having a lot of luck finding the modern day equivalent by paint code. Suppose I will just...

Re: Mike Warshaw's '59 Wagon
Saw the other day that this wagon is yet again up for sale on FB. Alltho the price has crept up a weee bit to the tune of $19,000! :o its a good looking wagon for sure, but I am pretty sure it sold for around 14k on ebay (after several postings and reposting's and price drops). That must of been one...

Re: Martha!
That is a relief! Nothing is more stressful than having a car and having difficulty with the DMV about transferring a title. Glad it worked out. Interesting that they used the engine SN for the title from the factory. I can see where that would cause serious issues after an engine swap or two. Happy...

Re: Mike Warshaw's '59 Wagon
That is a good look'in wagon! Matthew and I have been talking about it, he has known the last several owners. It was posted on eBay a couple times, and sold for what I thought was a decent enough price. Glad to see the mechanical issues worked out. She looks great going down the road

Matthew is right! You can put me down for a room! I'm going to register the Savoy for the car show. Hopefully this will motivate me to use up some leave and get some work done on it

Re: Torqueflite bellhousing
I'm just happy to see another 59 Plymouth getting some love. Also, check out Johns Plymouth's. He owns "Big M Auto" and is hands down the best source for parts!!!

Speedfreek, hopefully you can bring your SF to Carlisle this year for the 60th Anniversary of our 59 Plymouth's ! Dan (Faulkner) is the driving force behind rallying as many 59 Plymouth's as we can for this year! Lots of whitty banter and info about it in the "what's new" forum.

Re: Transmission identification
Gotta love the parts manual for our 59s! I spend a lot of time reading through it ha! As Dan highlighted, looks like you have the high-performance TF to go with the big block and performance rear end! What score on your SF! But since you have the trans out already gotta ask the question if your goin...

Re: IBM Punch Card Info...
That is correct, the bronze was only availible on the Sport Fury, Matthew probably has a good estimate of the numbers. The bronze was a really popular color on SF's because it was exclusive to them. Your car sounds well optioned with the GC 395 and the suregrip rear. Brake lines your more than likel...

Re: IBM Punch Card Info...
What a beauty!! Sounds like a job for Matthew the Plymouth punch card master! But sounds to me like your not too far off. Is the original GC 395 still under the hood?
