Re: Tunes!

"recently repaired"...what did you have done? New tubes and a tuning? I took it to a local radio shop, Roger -- it had a bad coil, that's all. Hmmmm.... I had a chat with Frank a couple of Carlisle's ago, and I was going to do what I suspect he did with your radio. So you say it doesn't p...

Tunes!

I finally got around to wiring up my recently-repaired radio, on the carpet floor -- it does indeed work! So we'll have tunes for Carlisle! I think I'll try to patch in an audio jack to the input of the audio amplifier, so we can take the iPod with Fifties tunes. If I'm successful, I'll post a pic o...

Ginny Durkee's red wagon for sale

Just got this note from Ginny: Hi Dan. Well, here she is. It's a really nice body. All the glass is good and the interior is complete, but, as usual, the floors are bad. I'd like to get $850.00 for her. Thanks, Ginny. If anyone is interested, contact me privately and I'll put you in touch. Thanks Dan

Re: Carlisle 2008

The Dutch invasion is about to begin! Troops are amassing on the Belgian border, soon to arrive on the Philly shores.

(shores?!)

The western contingent is in the last days of their campaign, and will arrive a day later. It can only mean one thing:

Carlisle 2008!

Welcome aboard! You're in good company -- many fine '59 folk, and hopefully able to provide the parts you need.

Re: Carlisle 2008

I probably won't make it to Carlisle Friday until 4 or 5 PM - will anybody still be there that late in the day? Fershur, Curt -- we'll still be there. We'll exchange cell phone numbers privately, so you can give us a heads up when you're getting close. What time does everyone show up in the morning...

Re: Carlisle 2008

I heard from Ron and Marjo this afternoon -- they're in the States, embarking on a vacation in the West before they fly back to Philly for a visit. Of course, by the time they get here, Matthew and Andre will have already arrived. After a few days of here and there, it's off to Carlisle! Looking for...
