John; I will double check my pics for the wire routing,i'm sure your right, thanks for bringing it up,Jason that is A stock generator,the face at the impeller has A little surface rust from the clean-up/rebuild,maybe that is why what looks different. I need to touch it up,thanks, Mark M

Guys;I got some more done this weekend,took A break last weekend.I got the carb sent out for A rebuild,still need to hook up th tranny cable(any trick to how it goes back in ?)neuteral safety switch wire,fuel line,probably put the driver side inner fender on before I fire it up to place the voltage ...

Does the clutch disengage ok? Could be time for A starter rebuild?(weak bad armature,brushes) Check grounds/cables,when running does the tranny make noise when you push the clutch in?(worn forks/throw out bearing).Make sure the starter is not loose(bolts). How much play does the clutch have? adjuste...

Mark; Try A thumb over the spark plug hole,feel for compression,also look at the distributor rotor,does it turn while cranking? Possible timing chain gear problem,(no cam turning).May need to pull the head off. MarkM.

Dick; It is A good thing we don't live next to each other,i'd be lookin over the fence,and borrowing A cup of sugar all the time.I notice the grass ,sunshine,no snow, ice, blizzards, etc (Erie Pa.) The project looks great,I can relate to alot of what your doing. Mark M

Thanks John I will check for that,I know it does'nt take much to cause vibration,the manual say's if you replace the trunion pin it should be center, no more than .006 of an inch off. Mark M

Dick; thanks for the info,the rear must have A needle fitting.My old one has so much crud on it I havn't cleaned it up yet and there may be one,but I think I will take your advice and replace it.I did see in the manual about pulling the boot through the inside of the housing.Those bearings did look ...
