Re: Rebuilding the 318

Matthew started looking for the needed parts and in September he started taking a lot of parts of the engine.

Then we decided to take of the bumper and front valance to make it easier to remove the engine. The front support had to go too as it was rusted through but luckily we had a spare one that we got from John Fowlie about 10 years ago. Never got to replacing it!

On September 27th we were ready to pull the engine.

When we opened the hood we saw cooling fluid coming at the i...

Re: Trunk light

Vic, there is an instruction on a just ended Ebay auction. Already found it last week as we were going to bid on it and didn't want more competition, did not help as we didn't want to go higher than $80. http://www.ebay.com/itm/112142641060?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3...

Re: door and hood alignment

There is a technical booklet on door alignment for the 57 but not for the 59. There isn't a lot of difference so it might work http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Lit/Master/110/index.htm And for the people who get bored on a rainy day here is the link to all the Master Service Technician Service boo...

Re: Visiting the Liberty Bell

The picture is upside down because Dan and Matthew screwed up posting it, now they are saying that it has something to do with my driving :( Don't believe them, I kept the shiny side up all the time!

Modern day commercial for the 59 Plymouth

I found a really great movie on the web. A guy in Utah has made a movie of his dad's 59 Sport Fury http://youtu.be/wQAQ1qtrTbI
Worth watching for sure, a little over 17 minutes of viewing pleasure if you love these cars.
