Re: 59 Sport Fury cloth

Thanks for the reply William, this is what I needed to hear! Matthew estimated yesterday that it was about 5 1/2 but we wanted confirmation before purchasing. And we will order a bit more than we need, it is easier to store a little left over than to find the same cloth when a mistake is made ...

Re: 59 Sport Fury cloth

I would even go with estimated guesses. My skills are non existent when it comes to measuring cloth, we have bamboo furniture we had upholstered but we bought the fabric ourselves in Hawaii. When it was done we had more than half of it left :?

59 Sport Fury cloth

Hope someone can help me out on this one, I can buy some good upholstery fabric for my Sport Fury but I really don't know how many yards (or meters) I need. Can anyone tell me how much I need for a complete interior (swivel seats, bench and door panels). Any help would be very much appreciated!! Tha...

Re: recast steering wheels

My steering wheel was done by D&D in 2004, they did a great job for a reasonable price. If the new owner also bought the mold for the steering wheels as well he might be able to keep restoring 59 steering wheels.

Re: Jeez, another birthday

Thanks for the Birthday wishes! Actually I look better than the car right now, yesterday we took off the left front fender to clean it up and replace the inner fender with a brand new one. Finally some progress again but still not finished. Right now Marjo's recovery is more important though, she ha...

Re: Rebuilding the 318

Well we didn't see much of the soccer game today but our team won :) We did see a lot of the garage though. Friday we got the new intake manifold and it had to be media blasted so we went out to do so on Saturday morning. 20170204_095925.jpg Also had some other stuff that we had to do and then a few...

Never did business with Mopar Mel myself but know a lot of people got burned dealing with him, there must be a reason why most people call him Mopar Hell..... buyer beware!

Re: Rebuilding the 318

The cam lube arrived and we made some progress again. The NOS cam shaft is in (thank you Forwardlook Frank!) and we put the heads back on. After a little break we went on with the timing chain, the NOS lifters (thank you Forwardlook Frank!) and the pushrods. More to come next week!

Re: Rebuilding the 318

We can only guess what caused the loud bangs as we did not find something really wrong with the engine. It is Obvious that it needed the rebuild as a lot of parts were in there since new. My best guess is that it happened because the original timing chain slipped but I was cruising with a steady spe...

Re: The Birthday Grrrrl!!

You got the number right but I messed up :( I got an email from my internet service provider on how to improve my wifi connection and that caused a temporary loss of communication. All working fine now but no improvement in the wifi connection

And thank you for the Birthday wishes!

Did you call Ed Ober? I know he has some spares in his garage and will be willing to help you, and while you pick it up you can talk Plymouth with him!

Re: Rebuilding the 318

Amazing, Ron! I just now looked for DIY powder coating places in Philly, I haven't found one. What a neat trick! It's great that you have a shop like that near you. Dan As far as I know it is the only place in The Netherlands with the DIY system, fortunately it is only about 5 miles away for us :) ...

Re: Rebuilding the 318

We had a lot of loose parts in the garage that needed a clean up and some fresh paint. A couple of months ago Matthew had a workshop for powder coating and told me that I should powder coat the parts. Yesterday we looked for all the "black" parts and this afternoon we went to a place were ...
