Re: DICK'S 59 RED & WHITE SPORT FURY RESTORATION.

Thanks Dick and Roger,

Now I know what to look for next trip to the auto parts store. I have projects that have been waiting for repair - and this may be the answer.

Thanks,
Curt

Re: DICK'S 59 RED & WHITE SPORT FURY RESTORATION.

JB weld is a two part epoxy that dries rock hard, it's machinable and will bond anything. I cut a small portion of the vinyl dashpad so the clip would fit a tad lower and after marking the holes and measuring precisely I place the clips into the JB weld and let set for two days. When I placed the c...

Re: DICK'S 59 RED & WHITE SPORT FURY RESTORATION.

Dick,

Your car looks great. I like the Fender Skirts; in fact I ran them many years as a 50's custom look before I changed wheels!

Tell me about JB Weld... Are the clips Glued to vinyl with the JB Weld? I heard of JB Weld for Metal but never used the product.

Keep smore pictas coming!!!

Re: I Thought I Owned a 1959 Plymouth???

Sorry everyone on my late response, I spent 3 days in the local hospital with shingles on my forehead/scalp. Wow what pain - still have an area of scabbing left. I will make 1 more attempt at our Motor Vehicle Admin, mostly because they never called back as promised. I really want the chance to get ...

Re: MUCH ADO ABOUT A LOT.

Well we set record high temperatures as well just a few weeks ago - so I'm guessing a sandstorm! Here are two crappy cell phone pictures - but you get the idea. The stream that runs by my house is usually 3 feet wide and 8 inches deep (spring fed) and never runs dry. Stream from front porch.jpg This...

Re: I Thought I Owned a 1959 Plymouth???

Matthew,

Thanks for decoding the VINs.

That means the M2301 is not a valid number that could have been built - the plant code does not exist! Now all I need is to prove that to motor vehicles.

I Thought I Owned a 1959 Plymouth???

I need some advice. I thought I owned a Savoy for the last Twenty years... Matthew pointed out to me that my VIN number for my Savoy is incorrect (it shows a Belvie #). In fact, not one number on my car's VIN Tag matches my CarTitle. So I gather all my info, including Registration from previous owne...

Re: MUCH ADO ABOUT A LOT.

Ron and Everyone, We are okay. I have some pictures that I can upload later of the flooding on my lot. You see I live on a flood plain and right next to a small stream that dumps into the Patapsco River not far from my house. The same river that you see in the video and attached. http://youtu.be/BKC...
