Re: Marvel Mystery oil

Marvel Mystery oil is similar to basic automatic transmission fluid, as it's a light oil.

Being that it's light, it is good for breaking stuck engines loose, as the fluid seeps into small areas more easily than thicker oils.

Re: stainless drip rail

I use the bottle opener end of an old "Church Key". Wrap some electrical tape around that end, and the catch that lifts the bottle cap up, will hook the bottom edge of the molding and lift it up. Just continue to do this the length of the molding, and soon it will be off, and undamaged. --...

Graham Baird's car fire

[RE: Graham Baird's car fire... -Dan]

Sad to see this happen.

I'm sending some pics of Suburbans I have that may help him out.

Re: Hot August Nights 2021

During the day I was parked at the swap meet, in the evenings drove through the Atlantis, and parked along B street in Sparks next to the Elbow Room bar, and watched the cars cruise.

Re: Hot August Nights 2021

Just got back from Hot August nights.

I didn't see any '59's, other than my own, but there was a '57 Belvedere convertible, as well as a '58 Belvedere coupe with a 392 hemi.

Re: Hot August Nights 2021

I will be at the swap meet as a vendor, Reno is only a 3 hour drive for me. I'll probably have my Sport Fury there to go cruising in the evenings.

Re: Rich Zocchi - Walnut Creek, CA, USA (original builder)

Richard was a customer of mine before he passed away several years ago. The paint color was a pearl yellow-green, and would change in different lights. I recall seeing this car at its debut at Autorama, and a few later shows. Haven't seen it for several years now.
