Re: Faulkner gets a Redo

Dan; I had the same exhaust tip question when I did mine. I went with straight out the back only because I was, and already had exhaust tips. Otherwise I would have gone the way Dick did his, it looks great. To each his own. I have seen some angle to each side as well. As for the empty garage that i...

Re: Martha!

Dan; I like it !!!! My uncle in Florida had A model "A" and his daily driver was A 58 Chevy Apache pick-up. The mileage might be 17,000 you never know. Check door hinge wear, brake pedal wear etc. Some early titles had the engine serial # on the title as well, could be the original engine. My 55 Bui...

Dan; I know the feeling. When I got mine to body shop for paint it did stay inside, but I got a lot of yada yada as well. Body shop owner is A friend of my nephew and was always bugging me to paint the Plymouth. So at my nephews wedding we set the deal, Long story short it was weeks and then months ...

Re: question about inspection and vehicle registration in Pennsylvania

Dan; I called A few of my buddy's and I get different answers. It seems to be A mileage restriction and safety inspection, also their cars are newer. A 68 Chevelle,69 Mustang,68 Camaro. Long story short I guess I don't know. Ask 3 people and get 3 different answers. It maybe they drive them and nobo...

Re: question about inspection and vehicle registration in Pennsylvania

Dan; I think to drive daily would require the classic car plate instead of antique. I know the classic plate also needs to be inspected annually. I'm sure the insurance would be higher as well. I see that suburban on e-bay is in Philly. I have some friends that drive the old ones to work or shopping...

Re: A question about Poly 318s

Dan: for what it is worth my Fury has the original motor and I think the car was made in June 59. The left side stamp is MP8326478 the casting # on the other side reads 737929 with A #2 above the numbers. I did not see A #1 starting at the beginning. Mine is the 318 with 2 barrel. Mark

Re: Next Project

Dan: On the "tractometer" tach. those are hours the engine has ran. It is used for maint. schedule. It is low low it's age. Engine rebuild can happen at around 5,000 hours, I heard of one that got 9,000 hrs before A rebuild. It depends how it is taken care of.I've had this one about 10 years I bough...
