Re: stainless drip rail

well, i tried it and i can see where it would work but it just bent the key. it is stuck in there with some old grey rubber mastic. may try to cut it with a utility knife tomorrow or maybe heat it up. you would think after 60 years it would just flake off but noooo>

Re: stainless drip rail

that is what i was afraid of. Was using a wide pry bar but was dinging it and it is deforming. You cant get the windshield surround off unless the drip rail comes off. Many thanks, Pat.

Re: recast steering wheels

i had him do a wheel for a '60 polara last year. Took a year and cost $1800. Beautiful job. He had a kid working for him parttime doing most of the work, i think Just wish i had the know-how to collect so much for so little.

i am ssorry but getting rid of this magnificent car in favor of keeping one of the ugliest cars ever made has got to be an act of total lunacy. Sorry , Mark but it had to be said.

Re: oil pump shaft

it is out of a 59 savoy , i just happened to have a 60 imperial manual. there was only a supplement for 59 plymouth and i never had a 58. but i am assuming all the oil pump shafts were the same from the time the B block was introduced in 58.
