Cruisin' Bruce

On finally receiving issue #355 of the Plymouth Owners Bulletin - featuring Cruisin' Bruce and his '59 Suburban - I realized that I never received issue #354, containing my column on Will Walker and his '59's! So posting that will have to wait for another day, after they correct the subscription err...

The Rumors of Our Demise are Greatly Exaggerated

Well, it's been quiet on the '59 Forum since Carlisle 2019. Too quiet. Not surprising, I suppose, that we should come way down from that high, on the 60th Anniversary of the '59 Plymouth. Still, it's unfortunate that we don't see a lot of activity from '59 owners, flung far and wide. Facebook? The l...

Re: Chryslers at Carlisle 2019

..and a few more shots from the 2019 Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle, that you can find here. '59 Plymouths didn't get the credit they deserved! But, we'll take what we can get:

Re: little by little

Vic, I've edited your video so that it will play on Windows, as well as the iPhone from which you uploaded it. Now other members can enjoy.

I'm sorry your son didn't win - but, he did come in a close second :P Gotta love those slant sixes...

Re: Usability extension

So, it turns out we have discovered a bug in the phpBB software. ...er, no we haven't. It turns out that iPhones upload videos in a funny standard, H.265. It isn't supported by any browser, except for their own (Safari). Which is why you can play videos uploaded from an iPhone, on an iPhone. But no...

Graffiti Weekend, Roseburg OR 2019

Tom Fox recently attended the Annual Graffiti Weekend in Roseburg, OR, his home town. The event was July 10th through the 14th. Here's a link to the event - unfortunately, I couldn't find any pix of Tom's car (except for the one he sent), but I did snag a nifty clip from YouTube of "The Car That Chr...

Re: Usability extension

Oh Noes!! Another bug... If you have a Windows computer, you'll notice it in Vic's posting here . There are two popular video formats, both based on the "H.264" video compression standard. The first is .mp4, which is produced by Android smartphones and tablets. The second is .mov, which is a ...

Re: Usability extension

OK, done! I've changed the Carlisle 2019 topic to have two posts per page, because they have so many attachments. And furthermore... ...I discovered a bug, that prevented iPhones and iPads from playing mp4 files. I don't know how this got past me, but it took loading a boatload of videos to find out...
